Volunteer Tutors

Volunteers of Literacy Action Corps:

• train volunteer tutors to teach the Laubach method of reading and writing,
• teach adult nonreaders to read and write, and
• teach people from other countries to read, write and speak English.

You need only 2-3 free hours a week to become a literacy tutor. Once or twice a year, Literacy Action Corps holds a tutor-training session that will provide you with the necessary skills. The Student Coordinator then assigns you a student.
